Floyd was born March 2, 1939 in Elba, Colorado to Floyd Alonzo Cure and Maude Mae (Stewart) Cure. He married Patsy Lou Cline on April 9, 1957 in Akron, Colorado. They were married for 64 years and he still called her “love” and held her hand as they walked to the truck. He worked for several years as a seismograph driller, truck driver for Lousberg Grain and later retired as a mechanic.

Floyd was a very stubborn and onery father, grandfather and great-grandfather, but at the same time he was very caring and loving. He was funny and silly and would pick on the people he loved. Floyd was extremely helpful and was always willing to lend a hand or truck to those he cared about. He respected those that respected him. He was a very special gentleman and jokester. Floyd had many friends that were like family and he made life worth living and was an inspiration to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Joel; siblings Aurthor, Connie, Patricia, William and Judith.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife Patsy; children Vicky, Pam and Jerald; siblings Kenny, Jimmy, Sharon, Gary and Terry and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
