He is survived by his wife Wythenia Curry Burnette; sons, Floyd Burnette Jr. (Beverly), Weldon Mebane; daughters, Iris “Janell” Moore (Dennis), Benita Poteat; brother, Roy Burnette (Barbara); sisters, Janice Whitaker (Roy), Delois Crutchfield (Lonnie), Betty “Pinky” Johnson, Josie Leath (Larry); son in law Ricky Broadnax; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great great grandson along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Gertha Mae Burnette, daughter, Carolyn Broadnax; brother, Eugene Burnette and a sister, Nellie Williams.
