Bromley, Floyd S. 85 died September 24, 2012, at, St. Vincent’s East hospital, after a long illness. He was born in Florence AL, July 6, 1928. His family later moved to Iron City Tennessee. Mr. Bromley served in the Army, Navy, and Air Force he fought in the Korean War. He was acting as Assistant Chief at the fire department at the National Air Port; He retired with 35 years of service as Lieutenant. he is preceded in death by his parents, Ida Bromley Holden, and William “Bill” Bromley of Iron City, Tenn; son, Douglas of Kingsport, Tenn.; sister, Evelyn Bromley Waldrop of Pinson, AL; 2 half brothers, Billy Glenn and Clarence Holden of Nobleville, IN; half sister, Nellie Holden Marvin of Pinson, AL. he is survived by his wife, Sylvia Bromley of Pinson; son, Floyd “Pete” of East Lake; half sister, Regina Holden Height of Nobleville, IN; half brother, Albert Holden of Nobleville, IN; granddaughter, Stephanie (Ben) Weakleys; great grandchildren, Abby and Jack Weakleys all of Fort Knox, KY; grandson, Jeremy (Nola) of Kingsport, Tenn.; along with many nieces and nephews He was a member of Brewster Road Baptist Church, and belonged to the VFW and AARP.
