Flossie M. (Fraker) Bolin was born to George and Rachel (Hazelwood) Fraker on December 6, 1933 at Buffalo, Wyoming. She attended school elementary school in Kaycee, Wyoming and graduated from Sheridan High School in Sheridan, Wyoming in May of 1952. She was united in marriage to James Bolin on October 11, 1952 in Rapid City, South Dakota. To this union four children were born. James and Flossie lived around the Sheridan/Buffalo Wyoming areas. She worked packing shakes and cedar shingles in a factory in Forks, Washington also as a maid the motel in Forks. When they shut down the mill and James retired they decided to move to Tecumseh, Nebraska to be closer to family in 1997.
After living in Tecumseh for a couple years, they started raising their vegetable garden together, raising many tomatoes, peppers, onions and beets for sale. Flossie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting and doing bead-work.
She is survived by her husband, James Bolin of Tecumseh, daughters, Cherri Topp and husband Ron of Tecumseh and Lorri Bolin of Forks, WA, son, Gale Bolin of Tecumseh, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brother, George Fraker of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and many nieces and nephews. Flossie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Louis and sister, Jette.
Flossie passed away February 1, 2014 at Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Nebraska at the age of 80 years. According to her wishes, she was cremated and her ashes will be buried in Buffalo, Wyoming at a later date.
