Flossie Cox Long, 86, of Asheboro, died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Universal Health Care in Ramseur.
Flossie was a native of Randolph County, retired from Thomasville Furniture, and a member of Franklinville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elisha T. “Junior” Long, Jr., parents, William Waldon and Swannie McPherson Cox, son, Brian Long, and grandson, Brett Long.
Survivors: daughter, Doris Burrow, and husband, Roger, of Asheboro, son, Lawrence Long, and wife, Myra, of Ramseur, sister, Gladys Craven, of Seagrove, grandchildren, Brian Long, Jr., and wife, Lisa, Brandon Long, Jason Burrow, and wife, Shea, Jennifer Macfayden, and husband, Lee, Devin Long, Ethan Long, Celina Long, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Universal Health Care in Ramseur as well as the nurses of Hospice of Randolph County for their dedicated and loving care of Flossie.
