Mrs. Florine Lowery Lindsay, 84, of 500 Long Street, Thomasville died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Mrs. Lindsay was born on January 3, 1927 in Davidson County to the late Maggie Smith Lowery and Randolph Lowery. A lifelong resident of Davidson County, she was a graduate of Church Street High School and was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served on the kitchen committee and was a member of the Senior Choir. She was employed as an inspector and retired from The Izod Company. She enjoyed shopping at yard sales and shopping for antiques. A lover of family and friends she always had a smile.
In addition to her parents, husband, Eugene Lindsay; three sisters, Azelee Lowery, Ernestine Woodrow, and Manerva Tyson; two brothers, Thomas Lowery and James Lowery preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives include four sons, Marshall E. Lindsay, Jr. of Thomasville; Myer W. Lindsay of Thomasville, Reginald C. Lindsay of the home, and Gregory L. Lindsay of High Point; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
