Ms. Saulisberry peacefully passed away at a local hospital.
Florence Saulisberry was born on February 11, 1935 in Washington, Arkansas. She was the third of five children born to the late Jessie and Virginia Allen. She received her formal education within the public school system of Washington, Arkansas, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1952. She was an outstanding student and excelled in all her classes.
Florence decided to further her education, so she enrolled at City College and took a course in Electronic Assembly. Upon completing the class, she was hired by Moore Electronics and later General Dynamics. Her expertise led her to a position at Loral Data Systems as Line Supervisor, where she worked on the Apollo 15 Space Ship’s tracking system. She served at Loral Data Systems with pride and dignity for twenty years. She later became employed by Savon Drug Store, now known as CVS. After two years working there, she became Supervisor.
Florence love for sports, especially basketball kept her body agile. She was an advocate for healthy eating, exercise and keeping God’s temple fit.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Ben Allen; her sister, Dorothy Brown; her best friends, Jean Richardson and Jean Tillet.
Florence Saulisberry departed from this life on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at 9:55 A.M. at Kaiser Hospital, in San Diego, California. She leaves to cherish her memories; two sons, Billy White and Anthony Dwayne Saulisberry; one grandson, Aaron Saulisberry all of San Diego, California; two brothers, James Louis Allen of St.
