Florence Reddick Mancini
Aug. 2, 1920 – May 19, 2007. Ms. Florence Reddick Mancini, age 86, of Niceville, FL passed away Saturday, May 19th, 2007, in Destin, FL. Florence was a loving and dedicated daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Florence was born and raised in Niceville, FL. In the 40’s she worked at the first Roberts Drugstore in Ft. Walton Beach. Later Florence moved to Jackson, MS with an aunt and then Chicago, IL where she worked for Douglas aircraft to help manufacture planes for WWII. After marriage, Florence lived in New York and New Jersey where she started a family. Florence returned to Niceville in 1972 following her son and daughter-in-law. There she continued raising her daughter, cared for her mother and mother-in-law, and also helped raise her granddaughters. Florence was a beautiful, loving woman and lived her life caring for others.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Rose Lee and Pastor William Reddick; her brothers Buddy, Tommy, George, Billy, Lawrence AKA Buck (her twin brother); and her sisters, Hazel, Rena, and Myrtle. Florence is survived by her son, Michael Jr., of Mike’s Music, and his wife Debbie; her daughter, Karen; her granddaughters, Michele, Gloria, Laura, Emily and one grandson Michael; and great grandchildren, River and Sky Braley and her sister-in-laws Willie V, and Juanita and niece
