An amazingly precious woman, Florence Conter, 85 of Brighton, left this world for greener pastures on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Florence was born in Wattenberg, CO to Henry and Louise Wattenberg on July 14, 1928. She was the oldest of six children. She married Leo Conter on January 14, 1949 in Brighton. Together they had four children.
Her children believed no one could have ever loved them more and she was always there for them no matter what their needs. Her grandchildren worshipped the ground she walked on and loved her unconditionally, as did her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. The most important things to Florence were her family, friends and religion. As her husband put it in a Christmas letter, “she was a sweet lady, wife, cook, housekeeper, maid, nurse and babysitter who deserved much, much more”.
Florence is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leo, four children, Kathleen Reiersgord, Linda Conter, William Conter and Leonard Conter; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert.
