Florence L. Teed, age 98, of Sharpsburg, Georgia, formerly of Middletown, New York, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Mrs. Teed was born August 10, 1917 in Sussex County, New Jersey to the late Ernest and Mabel Wallace. She was married to the late Clarence Elston and later to Warner Teed. While married to Clarence, they lived and raised their four children in Middleton, New York. In Middletown, she worked as a Domestics Sales Clerk at Lloyds Super Market before it was destroyed by fire and was a faithful member of Trinity Assembly of God Church. Before retiring and moving to Sharpsburg, Georgia, she lived in Mount Cobb, Pennsylvania where she was active at Elmhurst Christian Center. As a member, she was active with the Women’s Missionary group using her sewing talents to make dolls and other toys for the children of Haiti. Mrs. Teed loved to travel and made tow missionary trips to Haiti and another to Jerusalem, Israel and Hawaii with the church. Mrs. Teed was a truly devout Christian who loved helping others. Mrs. Teed is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Mr. Clarence Elston, her later husband Warner Teed and grandson Robert Elston. She is survived by two sons; Robert Elston and his wife Evelyn of Riverdale, Utah and William Elston and his wife Jean of Deland, Florida, two daughters; Ruth Johnson and her husband Ivan of Marionville, Missouri, Shirlee Johnson and her husband Ray of Sharpsburg, Georgia. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.
