Florence Joyce Hancock, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday;
March 12, 2013 at the E.T. York Center (Haven Hospice) in Gainesville. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida to the late Andrew and Odessa “Fletcher” Carver and has lived in Ft. White since 1975. She was a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother who devoted her time to God and her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack Carver, sister, Sarah Wasdin, and son, Wayne H. Hancock Jr..
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Wayne H. Hancock; sons, Robert D. (Kathy) Hancock, and John A. (Melinda) Hancock all of Ft. White, FL; daughter, Brenda Joyce (Steve) Chapin of Crystal River, FL; sisters, Marjorie Edmonds of Lake City, FL and Sharon Preston of Howie in the Hills, Florida; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
