Florence Joseph Crocker, 95, of Newington, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Dale K. Crocker, who worked at Wiremold for 35 years. Florence was born on March 21, 1926 in Tilting, Fogo Island, Newfoundland, Canada, daughter of the late Austin and Agnes McGrath, of Tilting, Newfoundland. Florence is survived by her two sons Myles Crocker, and Michael Crocker and his wife Charlene; and her grandson Jesse. She is also survived by her brothers Justin, Joseph, and Fergus McGrath; and her sister Ellen McCurdy. Florence was predeceased by her brothers Leonard and Myles, and sisters Katherine Hickey and Loretta Higgins.Florence left Newfoundland for Rangeley, ME, where she met her beloved husband, Dale Crocker. They were married and moved to Newington, CT. Florence worked as a waitress at Wethersfield Country Club, Wampanoag Country Club and the Nutmegger House in Newington. She was a longtime and active member of St. Mary Church in Newington. During retirement she enjoyed working part-time at the NECCI day care school in Newington. Vacations were always spent at their cottage on Dodge Pond in Rangeley, ME, with family and friends.
