Florence J. Symanek, 85, died Friday, March 5, 2004, at her home. Born July 25, 1918, in Freeport she was the daughter of Simon and Julia (Minnick) Heilemeier. On June 27, 1936, she married Emil Symanek in Belvidere.
He preceded her in death in November of 1986. Surviving are her daughter Jacqueline (Marvin) Aeling of Freeport, and two sons, James J. Symanek of Freeport and Alvin A. Symanek of Houston, TX. Two brothers, Hank Heilemeier of Rock Grove and Jack Heilemeier of Durand, and one sister, Grace Engelbarts of Forreston. Eleven grandchildren, more than 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
