Florence H. Harrington passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2005. She was born on Dec. 30, 1929, to Arthur and Bessie (Fleck) Zebell in Three Oaks, Mich where she grew up and graduated from Three Oaks High School in 1948. She married Wilfred “Duke” Harrington of Lakeside, Mich on May 3, 1952.
He preceded her in death on January 21, 1965. Florence and her children moved to Grand Haven in 1969 where she was employed at the Village Green as a secretary for many years, and later, at Plantega’s Cleaners before retiring. She enjoyed walking the pier, camping, and boating.
Survivors include her daughter, Candace (Chuck) Matkovich of Grand Haven, sons Thomas (Lori) Harrington of Grand Haven, and Kevin (Sue) Harrington of Spring Lake; grandchildren Kendal (Brent) Holtrop of Okemos, MI., Jesse and Tory Harrington of Grand Haven, Caity Matkovich of Grand Haven, and Kevin II and Hannah Harrington of Spring Lake; brothers Arthur and Raymond Zebell of Three Oaks and her sister Mildred Hinkle of Hebron OH.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, sister Lenora Hinman, and brothers Chester and Delbert “Bud” Zebell all of Three Oaks.
