Florence Z. Hazlin entered into Heaven on April 6, 2015, at the age of 85. “Flo” as she was known to many, now joins her husband Richard, who just passed away two short months ago.
Florence was well admired throughout her life for her many crafts and talents, from sewing and baking to playing bridge and antique collecting. She volunteered at her local hospital both here in Colorado as well as when she lived in Norman, Oklahoma. While living in Oklahoma, both she and Richard volunteered numerous hours to a variety of needs at the University of Oklahoma.
Florence was preceded in death by two of their children, Richard John Hazlin II, and Linda Ann Hazlin.
Florence is survived by her and Richard’s daughter Holly A. Meier, son-in-law Clark and three grandsons, Sterling, Payton and Carson, all of Brighton, Colorado. Survivors also include children from a prior marriage, Diane M. Lathrop of Ft. Collins, Colorado and sons Robert G. Lathrop, Raymond F. Lathrop, Jr., and Stephen J. Lathrop, all of New York, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Their love of OU, will remain with Holly’s family forever.
