Florence Planer, 93 of Brick, passed from this life peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2022. Florence was born November 1, 1928 in Irvington, New Jersey to the late Arthur and Florence Lesbirel. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She was very active in her community with her involvement in the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTA and teaching VBS at the Union Church.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping and spending time at the beach. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Florence was employed for many years at Torwico manufacturing in Lakewood.
Florence is predeceased by her parents, Arthur Lesbirel; Florence Poidevin; husband, George W. Planer; son, George Planer, Jr.; brothers, Henry Lesbirel; Arthur Lesbirel; and sister, Myrtle Bean; Son in law, Richie Grasser.
Florence is survived by her daughters, Carol Poerio and her husband Frank of Cliffside Park; Margaret “Peggy” Grasser of Lakewood; son, Mark Planer and Carol Brower of Naples, Florida; brother, Thomas Lesbirel and his wife Lisa of St. John Island, South Carolina; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
