Florence Agnes Slezak, age 89, of Batavia, formerly of Downers Grove passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Tower Hill Nursing Home in South Elgin, surrounded by family.
She was born December 22, 1923, in Chicago, daughter of Walter and Ann (Rybicki) Schroeder.
Florence is survived by her children Walter, Jr of Florida, Ronald (Laura) also of Florida, and Randy (Flo) of Elburn; grandchildren Dustin (Rachel) Slezak, Brynn (Scott) Bostrom, Kelsey Slezak, Derek Slezak, Lasha Slezak and Sarah Slezak; siblings Arnold Wackrow, Janet Luby and Ida Ann Ray and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Walter, her parents and siblings Ralph Wackrow, Richard Wackrow and Margaret Sowinski.
