Flora Romano “Gram”, 88, a life long resident of Jersey City, passed away peacefully at home on November 13, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Flora was an avid, life long fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. She worked as a librarian at Ferris High School for 23 years, and was loved by many. She will be missed dearly.
Flora was the beloved wife of the late John Romano and mother of the late Thomas Romano. She was also predeceased by her sisters: Dolores Mahr and Evelyn Napolitano; and her brother: Richard Diego. She is survived by her loving children: Diane Shea; John Romano and his wife Suean; Darlene Nieves and her husband Luis; Joseph Romano and Donna Romano. Her loving grandchildren: Kim, Joseph, Thomas and his wife Andrea, John, Anthony, Alyssa, Angelica, Arianna, Joseph, Melissa and Christian. Her cherished great-grandchildren: Joseph, Justin, Jonathan, Jillian, Thomas, Ava and Olivia. Her adored great-greatgrandchildren: Angela, June and Henry. Also surviving are her loving siblings: Joseph Diego, Joan Costanza, Patricia Wisniewski and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
