Flora Mae Taylor Griffin was born on December 25, 1937, in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late James and Emma Taylor. She passed this life on December 10, 2020 at 3:52 pm at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama.
She confessed hope in Christ and joined Oakville Missionary Baptist Church at a young age, under Pastor Willie Walter. She loved to sing and her favorite song was “Time Has Caught Up With Me”.
She worked at Wayne Farm for over 30 years. Her favorite words were “Thank you Lord” and “well”.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings, Wayman Taylor, Gladys Williams, Hosey Taylor, Christen Griffin, Terry Griffin, Kevin Griffin and Richard Polk.
She leaves to mourn her passing: daughters, Barbara Polk (Waymon) of Oakville, AL and Janice Griffin of Moulton, AL; sons, Thomas Jeffery Griffin of Moulton, AL and John Olden Griffin of Falkville AL; granddaughters, Natasha Griffin, Martine Griffin Jackie Griffin, Lashara Griffin, Mercedes Griffin, Daniayah Dean and Aliayah Coleman; grandson, Micheal Polk (Sherra); sisters, Hazel Pointer and Joyce Bolden both of Moulton, AL, Josephine Brackin of Oakville, AL, Lola Mosley of Decatur, Emma Sue (Jackson) Andrew of Hillsboro, AL, Shirley Griffin of Madison, AL and Beverly Brackin of Bowling Green, KY; brothers, Wymond Taylor, Paul Taylor (Caroline) and Johnny Taylor (Mattie) all of Moulton, AL, Rayford Taylor (Jewel) of Oakville, AL, Leroy Taylor of Cleveland, OH, Fred (Bobo) Taylor of Bowling Green, KY and Cardella Taylor of Decatur, AL; a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
