Flora was born in Los Indios, Texas on November 24, 1937. She lived her life dedicating compassion and care for others as a healthcare provider and caring for the elderly in nursing homes. As a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Flora Garcia Cavazos, devoted her life to raising her family and serving God as his humble servant. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ of San Benito.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dionicio P Garcia and Trinidad Garcia; brothers, Faustino Garcia, Julio Garcia, Dionicio Garcia Jr., and Teodolo Garcia; Sisters: Guadalupe Morales, Trinidad Garcia, Felipa Castillo, Leandra Koite, and Angelita Leija and nephews, Smitty Weaver; Pedro Castillo, and Leo Castillo.
Flora Garcia Cavazos is survived by Carlos Cavazos, and was a loving mother of their children, Carlos Cavazos Jr.(Esmeralda); Cynthia Cavazos Gonzales (Jesus); Fred Cavazos (Ana); Leticia Cavazos Martinez (Carlos); and Melinda Cavazos Cavazos (Daniel). She was the beloved grandmother of Erica Cavazos Flood (Brendan); Daniel Cavazos (Jaimie); Jesus Gonzales Jr. III (Karina); Emilio S. Gonzales (Mariah); Cassandra L. Cavazos; Melissa L. Vega; Ashley N. Cavazos (Robert); Amanda Cavazos; Francisco Gonzales; and Daniel Cavazos Jr. She was also the loving great grandmother of Noah Gonzales; Elijah D. Gonzales; Jaylin A. Mata; Emma L. Vega; Troy A. Moya; and Avery M. Cerda and several nieces and nephews.
