Flora E. Rose, 87, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born in Osceola on March 21, 1935, to the late George and Elease (Myers) Sheler.
Flora is also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Harold E. Rose; daughter, Karin Davidson; grandson, Shaine Benn; and siblings, Jean and George Sheler, Polly Sheler, half-brothers, Milo and Robert Sheler. She is survived by her children, Lynn (Naomi) Kauffman, Daniel Davidson, Mark Davidson, Rae Ann (Dan) Landis, and Julia (David Benn) Berkshire; brother, James (Carol) Sheler; sister, Jeanette (Hosea) Jump; aunt, Norma Boyer; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Flora worked at Sears for over 18 years, 16 years where she worked in the receiving department. She was a volunteer tutor at YFC Lifeline and was a member of Gideons International with her husband. Flora was an active member at Crossroads Community Church and tried to attend every service.
She will be remembered for her sweet, caring, and kind personality where she always looked for the good in others. In her spare time, Flora enjoyed crafting, fishing, traveling, and enjoyed being out in the country with her daughter.
