Muncie-Flora Johnson, 73, passed away Friday evening, January 17, 2014, at the Golden Living Center Health Care Center following an extended illness. She was born on February 1, 1940 in Rock Creek, Tennessee, the daughter of Daniel R. and Edith (Dishman) Buck.
Flora married the love of her life, Larry L. Johnson Sr. on June 29, 1957, in Muncie, and he survives. Mrs. Johnson had worked as a Parts Clerk for Quality Farm and Fleet for 13 years prior to her retirement in 1991.
Besides her husband of 56 years, Larry, she is survived by four sons, Brian Johnson (wife-Pam), Larry Johnson Jr. (wife-Stephanie), both of Muncie, Mark Johnson (wife-Jayne), Yorktown and Ron Johnson, Indianapolis; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Don Buck (wife-Emojene), Selma, Jank Buck (wife-Jennie Mae), Montgomery, Alabama and Danny Buck (wife-Barb), Cowan; several nieces and nephews; Special friends and bowling teammates, Helen Hartley, Libby Rehse, Elaine Smith and Barb Taylor.
She was preceded in death by one son, Stanley; her parents; four brothers, Winford, Ezra, Clyde and Joseph Buck; Flora’s twin sister, Ora.
