Fernando “Fred” Barron Sr., age 90, went home to be with our Lord on July 7, 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.
Fred was born on May 30, 1932 to Francisco Barron and Florinda Sandoval Barron, a Harlingen pioneer family.
Fred was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Santa Rosa. He was married to his loving wife Amelia Gonzales Barron for 57 years. He was a loyal employee for HCISD in the maintenance department and later as a journeyman electrician, which he retired after many years of faithful service. He enjoyed reading books, was very social, made many friends in his life, and was loved by many.
He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Tirso Barron, Pablo Barron, and two sisters, Lupe Rivera and Eloisa Flores.
He leaves behind to treasure his wonderful memory his loving wife, Amelia Gonzales Barron; children Fernando Barron, Jr. (Alma), Rosalinda Barron Le Blanc (Richard), grandchildren; Rafael Rivera, Christopher Barron, Valeria Barron, Raquel Barron, sister; Maria Delgado. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
