Passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital at the age of 81. Fern was born in Hartford, MI on July 12, 1934, the daughter of Edward J. and Violet May (Fuller) Raas. She worked for Alamo Nursing Home for twenty five years and for Kalamazoo College for 10 years. She was a member of Heritage Christian Reformed Church. She was married to Roger Furgason; he passed away in 1994. She was married to Dean V. Troyer on March 18, 1995; he survives her.
She is also survived by one grandson, Jacob Doyle; one sister, Ruth Ann (James A.) Shoup of Deming, New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Violet (Fuller) Raas; her step-mother, Irma Raas; one son, Edward C. Doyle; one grandson, John Doyle; and two brothers, Ashley Raas and Roy Raas.
