Fern Marie Hoffman, age 83, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Atlantic Specialty Care in Atlantic, IA.
Fern was born August 17, 1938, in Denison, IA, the daughter of Herman and Louise (Busskohl) Weber. She attended Dow City High School graduating with the class of 1958.
On November 24, 1962, she married Jerome Hoffman. After marriage, Fern moved to Carroll, Iowa, with Jerome, who was employed with Mauer Construction. They lived in Carroll until 1972. Then they purchased a farm in Adair, where they farmed for many years and raised three children: Chris, Lisa, and Jodi. After many years of successful farming, they retired and moved to Anita in 2000.
Fern was a devoted mother and homemaker. She enjoyed socializing with friends and family, music, reading, crafting, and traveling. She had a good sense of humor. Fern enjoyed the many years spent on the farm. She also enjoyed attending the Anita Opry House and Weathervane café.
