Fern Ladell Myers, 84, of Fortville, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 2:18 pm at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. At the time of her death she was surrounded by her family. She was born February 13, 1933 in Gilliland, Texas to the late Melvin and Mayola B. (Moore) Garner.
Fern was a member of the Fortville Church of the Nazarene and had been employed at several long term care facilities as a Food Service Specialist. She is survived by daughter: Cathy R. Walter of Fortville; granddaughters: Elizabeth R. (Andrew) Statzer and Sabrina Walter; great grandson Trent W. Statzer; siblings: Rev. Ernest Garner, Bob (Joyce) Garner and Faye Goff. Fern was preceded in death by her husband Lowell D. Myers whom she married December 18, 1964: brothers: William Garner, W.N. Garner, James Garner, Kenneth Garner, Ray Garner and Paul Garner; sisters: Connie Ezell and Maggie Potts.
