Fern Elizabeth Morgan, 1913-201, Flagstaff, AZ – God saw you getting tired; He did what he thought best. He put his arms around you and said, “Fern, Come Home and Rest.” Fern passed away peacefully at the Olivia White Hospice Home October 13, 2011.

She was born in Bellaire, Kansas, on February 8, 1913, to James and Bertha Maydew. She was the sixth child of eight children. On May 29, 1934, she married Irwin Morgan, son of Jacob C. and Rena Morgan. They had two daughters, Vivienne Jeanne and Carole.

Fern is survived by Vivienne Jeanne Petersen and husband Chris, and Carole Richard and husband Don, 6 grandchildren: Lori (Rick) Lubke, Bret Petersen, Coby (Kim) Petersen, Ryen (Kerrie) Petersen, Rana (Storm) Savage, Donald Glen Richard; 10 grandchildren: Baili and Crissy Belle Lubke, Kyle and Hayden Petersen, Jake and Juliana Petersen, Noah and Sydnee Petersen, Morgan and Cody Savage. Fern was Postmaster in Ft. Defiance, AZ, for 10 years and worked in that Post Office for a total of 24 years. She was an accomplished seamstress and artist with many other talents.

Fern was a member of the Victorious Life Christian Center, Flagstaff. A special thank you to all the caregivers at the Flagstaff Medical Center, The Peaks, The Olivia White Hospice Home, and all the 911 Responders.
