Died Wednesday evening May 1, 2019 at his residence. Ferd was born July 13, 1931 in St. Joseph, Michigan a son of Ferdinand and Frieda (Liskey) Macholz Sr. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and owned and operated his insurance and investment company for over 58 years.
Ferd was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Stanley and Leroy Macholz. On August 25, 1957, he was united in marriage to Marlis (Luethy) Macholz who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Bill (Lisa) Macholz of Pueblo, CO and Mary Beth (Douglas) Headman of Sylvania, OH; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
