FELIX CARREON VALDIVIEZO, 93, lifelong resident of Lordsburg passed away Wednesday June 22, 2022 in the comfort of his home with his family at his side. A graveside service will be Friday morning, July 1, 2022 at Shakespeare Cemetery at 10:30.  As was his request, cremation has taken place at Baca’s Mimbres Crematory.

Felix was born March 31, 1929 in Valedon, New Mexico to Manuel and Mercedes (Carreon) Valdiviezo.  He was an equipment serviceman at Tyrone for 21 years and in his spare time and especially after retirement he enjoyed the outdoors, specifically cutting wood, gardening and was well known for his famous peanut brittle. He is survived by his wife, Manuela Valdiviezo of the home; son Felix Valdiviezo Jr. of Oracle, AZ; daughters Stella Rosales of Lordsburg, Margaret Griego of Silver City, and Patricia Valdiviezo – Trujillo of Tucson, AZ; brother Tony Valdiviezo and sister Inez Bejarano.  He has 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.  Felix was preceded in death by 1 son, Ramon M. Valdiviezo.
