Felicia P. Holmes (Mama Eling) will be dearly missed. She raised her granddaughter, Melinda (a.ka. Nene or Baddha) from the time she was about two years old till 11, right along side her brother and sister, and countless cousins, and other relatives in a three-bedroom home in the Philippines. Life in a third-world country at that time was not easy, but as the Matriarch of the family, Mama Eling ensured Nene and her siblings were taken care of. “Nene” will forever remember sleeping with Mama Eling during the nights she would have an Asthma attack and the only thing that would help her sleep was to slather Vicks all over her chest and nose and sleep with her butt in the air. Mama Eling is survived by her granddaughter, Melinda, Melinda’s husband, Doug, and her great-grand children Michael (25) and Mya (3).
