Federico “Fred” Zuniga, Sr., 53, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom on Tuesday afternoon, May 30, 2017, at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Weslaco, Texas to Lauro R. Zuniga and Nazaria Garcia Zuniga. Fred graduated from Donna High School. He was retired after serving in the U.S. Army National Guard for 24 years as a Sergeant.He is preceded in death by his father, Lauro Zuniga, Sr.; and brother, Lauro Zuniga, Jr.
Fred is survived by his loving family to cherish his wonderful memory, beloved wife, Yvonne Marie Zuniga; sons, Jose Federico Zuniga, Jr. “Freddy” and Mario Josiah Zuniga; mother, Nazaria Zuniga; siblings, Carlos Zuniga (Juanita), Janie Montiel (Jaime), Norma De La Cruz (Alfredo), Noemi Balli (Barnabe), and Angela Garcia (+Christian); along with numerous nephews and nieces.
