Fayne Lee Snider, 58, of Warren, passed away peacefully at his home after an extended illness, on Thursday, August 15, 2013. Born March 20, 1955, at Travis AFB, CA, he was the son of Donald P. and Elsie M. (nee Feltner) Snider, both deceased.
On April 30, 1993, he married Lisa K. Millington, (nee Souers), in Huntington. Living in the Huntington / Warren area most of his life, he attended Huntington North High School, was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp; serving from 1973 through 1976, and was a member of American Legion Post 7 in Huntington.
He worked at Kelly Box in Fort Wayne, Fischer Engineering in Huntington, and most recently was employed for over 25 years at Indiana Box in Huntington, formerly Northern Indiana Packaging.
Mr. Snider was a dedicated Indianapolis Colts fan (even in their down years), enjoyed various genres of music and old movies, woodworking, and renovating the home on what he called their “two-acre dream”. But above all else, he loved his family. He once told his wife, “our kids are the icing on the cake” and he was immensely proud when the grandkids called him Papaw or Grandpa.
Survivors include his wife; children Ron (Irena) Millington II of Greenwood, Christina (Eric) Bruce of Huntington, and Erin Clouse and fiancé, R.J. Ramey, of Columbia City; grandchildren Jacob, Noah, and Rebekah Bruce of Huntington, and Makayla and Ezekiel Millington of Greenwood; sisters Cheryl (Bud) Bixler of Hindman, Kentucky, Donna Shafer of Fort Wayne, and Renay Rivers of Columbia City; brothers Christopher Snider of Fort Wayne, and Leslie P. Snider; and eight nieces and nephews.
