Faye Lanier Smith, 88, of Fayetteville, GA passed away on July 30, 2021. Faye was born on February 23, 1933, in Lagrange, GA to the late Fate Lanier and Mary Parker Lanier. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Melton Smith, and her son-in-law, Michael Fowler. Faye loved playing card games such as bridge and Uno. She collected Toby character mugs and Andrea Sadek porcelain birds. She also loved reading and cooking. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family and friends, who will miss her dearly. Faye is survived by her children, Robin Fowler and Richard (Leslie) Smith; grandchild, Lauren Fowler, Kaleigh Fowler, Julie Smith, Tony (Elva) Smith, Jeff (Diana) Smith, and Hannah Smith; one great-grandchild, Winston Smith; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
