Faye passed peacefully on January 13, 2020 in Centralia, Illinois. Faye was surrounded by her loving family.
Faye was born September 26, 1943 in Spruce Pine, Alabama to her parents, Lloyd Bray and Ira Bray. They Later moved to Salem where Faye married her husband William “Bill” Nix on March 2, 1959. They were married 45 years and were blessed with seven children.
Faye served the community as a paramedic for 14 years. She was also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grand children and extended family. One of Faye’s favorite past times was playing bingo with her sister. She also enjoyed playing Shanghai rummy, sewing, drawing and listening to Elvis Presley.
Faye’s memory will live on through her children, daughter Vicky Rohr of Odin, son Joe and wife Jennifer of Salem, son Danny and wife Wanda of Salem, daughter Lana and husband Randy of Salem, and son Kevin and wife Amber of Salem. Her 30 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
