Faye P. Smith, 88, of Lanett, AL passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 at Lanier Nursing Home in Valley, AL.
Mrs. Smith was born on February 2, 1926 in Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Artie Webb Mitchum and Arthur Lincoln Perryman. Mrs. Smith was a member of Lanett First Baptist Church and retired from West Point Stevens as a shipping clerk. She enjoyed dining out, working in her yard and was a big Atlanta Braves fan.
Survivors include her daughter, Patti Smith of Valley, AL; sister, Elna (Luke) Norsworthy of McDonough, GA; brother, Richard (Beverly) Perryman of Valley, AL; three granddaughters, Stacey Thomas of Tucson, AZ; Melissa (Sid) Linger of Virginia; Kasey Dewberry of Valley, AL; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan, Benjamin & Leike Thomas; Jeremy & Ian Cummins; and Kristopher, Kaylen & Kathryn Dewberry; son-in-aw, Dan Payne; sister-in-law, Peggy Smith and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Edward Smith and by her daughter, Barbara Payne.
