Faye Dean, the daughter of Walter and Erma (Beaver) Dean, was born on December 12, 1930 in Estherville, Iowa. She graduated from Superior High School as the Valedictorian in 1948. On April 26, 1949 Faye was united in marriage with Joseph Bauer in Estherville. Their home was handcrafted by Joe for his wife, Faye. Faye had worked as a bookkeeper for Bauer Spray Service and an EMT for Bancroft Ambulance. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, collecting cupids and buying, refurbishing and selling antiques. In her last months, Faye enjoyed an amazing commitment to her Lord and Savior. In her very last days and hours, she bore witness to many who knew and loved her of a deep and personal knowledge that her salvation was secured and she would see her savior face to face.
Faye died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Rogers, MN. Left to cherish Faye’s memory are her six children, Mike Bauer and his wife Linda and their children Jeff, Scott and Brad of Olathe, KS, Paula Clark and her husband Jim and their children Josh and Amy Jo of West Des Moines, Pat Bauer and his wife Tanya and their children Jessi and Coleman of Bancroft, Mark Bauer and his wife Julie and their children Austin, Katie and Anna of Bancroft, Nick Bauer and Sharon Simmons and his daughter Paiten of Bancroft, Joan Simpson and her husband Larry and their children Levi, Joey, Noelle and Sam of Rogers, MN; eight great grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Alexander of Bertha, MN, Judy (Al) Brehl of Lincoln, NE and Nancy (Dave) Carter of Miltona, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Joseph; a grandson Coleman Bauer; and a brother, Wayne.
