SSgt Fausto Gutierrez, Jr., U. S. Air Force, retired, age 75, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2006. Born in San Antonio on October 20, 1930, he was the son of Fausto and Laura Gutierrez. A resident of Boerne for 15 years he was very active in the community, especially in his church, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Hill Country Family Services, Mentor in the Stars Program, Sunrise Rotary, and the mobile medical unit. Preceded in death by his parents, Fausto is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susanna Bernal Gutierrez; Daughters, Norma Wolkenstein and her husband, Steve, Nancy Heiberg and her husband, Alan, and Anita Gutierrez; Grandchildren, Erin, Jennifer, and Daniel Wolkenstein, Austin, Caroline, and Jamie Heiberg; Sisters, Olga Trevino and her husband, Roger, Delia Prince, and Alice Cipriani. The Recitation of the Rosary will be on Tuesday, February 14 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
