Fannie L. Bell Eash Holcomb, 95, of Bristol, passed away at her residence at 2:44 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, after an extended illness.

She was born May 20, 1915, in Constantine, Mich., to Arthur C. and Bessie May (Schuck) Bell.

On Feb. 28, 1935, she married Joseph S. C. “Joe” Eash in Goshen. He died Feb. 2, 1961. On Oct. 11, 1969, she married Robert C. “Bob” Holcomb in Centreville, Mich. He died Dec. 15, 1981.

Survivors include nine grandchildren, Wendy Morton, Tammy Black, Lori Eash, Brenda Moore, Dianna Fisher, Roger Reiff, Marlene Price, Jackie Reiff and Roxana King; 19 great-grandchildren; and 29 great great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Willis Eash; daughter, Shirley Reiff; two brothers, Lyle and Howard Bell; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; and a great great-grandson.

In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, she had worked in several different factories, such as Kay Del in Constantine, Bristol Products in White Pigeon, Mich., and Bristol Branch and Glass Tech in Bristol. She retired in 1980 after working at Keens, now Syndicate Systems, in Middlebury.

She was a member of Bristol United Methodist Church, life member of the DAV Chapter 19 Ladies Auxiliary, Past Associate Member of the 101st Airborne Division Association in Fort Campbell, Ky., and a life member of the American Legion Post 143 Ladies Auxiliary, Bristol, where she held the office of Chaplain for 10 years.

Fannie enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers, reading, baking, going shopping, doing circle word puzzles and listening to country/western and gospel music. She loved spending time with her precious little dog, Twyla.
