Fanita Tervil Ambroise was born on September 22, 1965 to the parentage of the late Iphalien Tervil and Inozane Calixte. Fanita completed her studies at the age of 18, in Haiti. She left Haiti in 1990 and permanently resided in the U.S., where she worked as a nursing assistant.

Fanita was blessed with a large and loving family; she is a hardworking sister. She watched over her siblings and taught them everything she knew, including a proper education, especially Claudine and Matinez’s youngest siblings.

While residing in the U.S., Fanita married Dieudonne Ambroise in September of 2000, shortly after I was born. She raised two boys, Marven Alabre and Dickenson Limite, like her biological children and always ensured we had everything we needed. She also helped raise three more young men from her extended family Douvins, Reginald, and Kennel Ambroise. She was always happy to have family in her house.

Fanita loved to read her bible, pray for and with others, spend time with family, laugh, and always wear a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, Godmother, and friend, always thinking of others first. To know her was to love her.

She taught Dickenson and me how to behave and act appropriately in church and out in the world from an early age. She always made sure that we were  appropriately dressed and fed. She cooked every morning like clockwork and saved up to live in a beautiful house. Despite her illness, Fanita was known as someone with a strong spirit who never gave up. She fought the good fight and kept the faith.

On March 14, 2022, Fanita was called home to be with the Lord. Sharing the memories of her incredible life are:
