Faith Boyce, 99 of The Village in Indianola, passes away Friday, July 27, 2012.
Mrs. Boyce was born October 1, 1912 in Plains, Kansas to Edgar Burnet McConnell and Mamie Agnes (Reniker) McConnell. She was the third of four siblings. After brief family business ventures in Oklahoma and New Mexico the family settled in Humeston, Iowa, where Faith graduated from high school.
Faith married Dr. Leo Boyce in 1931. They were married 54 years before his death. They moved from Garden Grove, Iowa to Chariton, Iowa in 1948 where she resided until her move to The Village in Indianola in 2010.
Faith is survived by her son Richard (Marjorie) of Norwalk, IA; grandchildren, Cindy (Joseph) Adams of Lakewood, CO and Christopher Boyce of West Des Moines, IA, Step-grandchildren, Juli Gumbiner, Donald Gumbiner, Kenneth Gumbiner and three great step-grandchildren. Nieces and nephews Paul (Karla) Gunzenhauser, David (Nancy) Gunzenhauser, Jo (Bob) Sanders, Jerry (Sue) McConnell, Dede McConnell, Stephen (Cathy) Rinaberger, Vivian Rinaberger
and special friend Mary Brown of West Des Moines, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her parents and siblings, Grace Gunzenhauser, Ruth Rinaberger and Thane McConnell.
