Fabian (Chicone) “Faye” Griffiths, 88, passed into eternal peace on August 12, 2011 at Apple Rehab Farmington Valley in Plainville.
Faye, daughter of Madeline Margonelli and Daniel Chicone and the widow of William T. Griffiths, was born on May 26, 1923 and was a lifelong resident of Plainville.
She was active with the Red Cross and Girl Scouts for many years.
Until a few years ago Faye sang with the Choral Group at the Plainville Senior Center.
She worked at the former Peterson’s Restaurant as a hostess and bookkeeper, and also worked as a receptionist for Dr. Marvin Saltzman.
Faye leaves behind a special daughter, Sharon M. Rizikow; the love of her life, her granddaughter Sarah A. Rizikow-Battipaglia, and her husband David V. Battipaglia;
many cousins, especially Sylvia Millerick and her husband Eugene, two special godchildren Barbara Dahlgren and William Millerick, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Daniel A. Chicone.
The family would like to thank the many devoted family members and friends for their thoughts, prayers and words of sympathy and the dedicated staff at Apple Rehab Farmington Valley for their excellent care. Your kindness and comfort will always remain in our hearts.
