Funeral Service for Exum Lyle Jr., 82 of Decatur, AL will be noon Saturday at Macedonia C.P.
There will be no Public Viewing.
Exum Lyle, Jr., the son of the late Exum Sr. and Curley Alexander Lyle was born July 24, 1929 in Trinity. He was called to rest on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and was a faithful member at Garner Memorial CME Church. He served as Deacon, Choir member, Sunday School Superintendent & Trustee. He was a member of the George W Braxdeall Masonic Lodge # 28, serving as senior warden and a member of The American Legion Post #310. He was U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Monsanto and currently was employed as a foster grandparent.
He was preceded in death by step mother Grace Lyle; three brothers, Richard, Percy and Ben Lyle; two sisters, Novela Lyle and Cora Garner.
He leaves to cherish his memory: four sons, Exum Lyle III of Courtland, Charles (Sherry) Lyle of Madison, Anthony Lyle of Decatur and Benjamin (Alison) Lyle of Tanner; one daughter, Curley (Alfie) Young of Decatur; four step children, Percy King, Teresa (Gregory) Willard, Vickie Langford all of Decatur and L.C.(LaKeya) Lyle of Birmingham; a sister Ethel Olds of Tucson, AZ; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, others relatives & many friends.
