Wayne Vermeer, 82, surrounded by his family went home to be with his lord on August 4, 2013. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Shirley; 3 children, Kent (Debra) Vermeer of Clearwater, FL; Kerry (Katy) Vermeer of Minneapolis, MN; Kay (Lyle) Van Wyk of Lexington, SC; and 9 grandchildren who he dearly loved.
The youngest of 11 children, Wayne was born in Sioux Center, IA and is also survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother, Edna Van Roekel of Fulda, MN; Loyd Vermeer of Sioux Center, IA; Cynthia Kaskey of Aurelia, IA; Elnor Niffenegger of Lexington, KY; and Ruth Bonnema of Orange City, IA.
