Everett “Merrill” Wildman, 90 ofBoise, passed away peacefully of natural causes at a local care center, Sunday, May 10th.
Everett was born in Elwood, NE on December 21, 1918 to Everett Milton Wildman and Lelia Wade Wildman. At age six, he was plowing the farm with horses and teaching his younger brother the same. His mom died in 1933; dad in 1935 and young Everett came to Meridian, ID to make his home at the Sleepy Hollow Ranch at 10 Mile and Overland, with his uncle Fred Eggers. He always told stories about milking cows with a family friend, Senator William Borah. He graduated from Meridian High in 1938. Due to the Eggers family connections with Morrison Knudsen, Everett began his lifelong construction career where he worked on many MK projects with the Navy throughout the Pacific.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Bill. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Verna; sons, Robert (M.J.), Larry (Karen); grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie), Jessica (Gabriel) Ashleigh and Luke Wildman; step-grandchildren, Matt and Travis (Bailey) Christensen; six great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
