E. Leroy King, 63, of Bridgeport, IL passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 7:11 PM CST at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. He was born March 15, 1953, in Vincennes the son of Samuel and Carol Abel King.
He was a graduate of North Knox High School and worked for Mayflower movers until he became disabled. He married Evelyn Shockey on September 16, 1988.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn King, of Bridgeport, IL, a stepdaughter, Regena Briscoe of Elletsville, AL, 3 grandchildren, his brothers, Clarence King, and his wife Lisa of Vincennes, IN, Jimmy King, and his wife Melody of Vincennes his sisters, Beth Evans, and her husband David of Vincennes and Mary Harsha, and her husband Mike of Sandborn, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Carol King, and a brother Thomas King.
