Everett L. Smith, age 86 of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Countryside Health and Living. He was born on August 15, 1928, in Indianapolis to the late David Smith and Zella Mae (Hawkins) Smith. He was a 1945 graduate of Anderson High School. Everett was a proud United States Air Force veteran and served in World War II the Korean War.
On November 26, 1955, he married Lela May Critser, she preceded him in death on January 22, 1993. He was a toolmaker at Guide Lamp and General Motors, retiring on June 1, 1984, after thirty-one years of service. Everett is survived by his son, Kato Del (Beth) Smith, of Arlington, Va.; brother, Henry D. Hank (Joyce) Smith, of Anderson; sister, Alene Jones, of Pendelton; grandchildren, Kato Del Smith Jr. and Heather M. Smith, both of Anderson.
