Everett C. Grandy, 82, of Bristol, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2010, at home. He was born February 7, 1927 in Plainville, son of the late Cleophus and Katherine Grandy. A resident of Bristol most of his life, he had served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Everett was employed at the former Plainville Casting Company and also the O.Z. Gedney Company in Terryville until his retirement. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Bristol. He is survived by his four children, Everett Grandy, Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou of Hamden, Richard Grandy and his wife, Diane of Bristol, Victoria Grandy of Cromwell, and Mark Grandy and his wife, Gloria of Bristol; his two grandchildren, Keith Grandy of New Britain and Shiann Grandy of Bristol; his former wife, Marge D. Grandy of Bristol; his sister and two brothers, Marcella Hall of Bristol, Steven Grandy and James Grandy both of Rhode Island; several nieces and nephews.
