Everett B. Weidner died peacefully on Christmas Day due to the complications of lymphoma. He was 86 years old. He is survived by his sister Patricia Surbeck, sons David and Evan Weidner, daughter Meg Colahan, and grandchildren Michaela and Elliot Colahan, and James, Emmett, and Alex Weidner, as well as is significant other Jette Tribler. He is predeceased by his father Everett Weidner, mother Francis Weidner and daughter Donna Weidner.
Everett was born outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but moved to Florida at the age of 26 after 4 years in the Navy. He lived in Cocoa Beach for more than 60 years, working as a computer programmer at the Kennedy Space Center. An excellent athlete, he completed more than 100 marathons and triathlons, and many shorter road raced.
