“Eve” as she was affectionately called, was born on September 16, 1914 in Amsterdam, Holland, a twin daughter of Johanna Cornelia and Dirk Boonstra. She was one of thirteen children. She was raised in Amsterdam and married Adrian Stutterheim on June 7,1939 by proxy in Amsterdam and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She subsequently relocated to Buenos Aires in 1940 to join her husband. They immigrated to the United States in 1949 after living in South Africa, Australia and Europe. She lived in Maryland for 50 years, and moved to Issaquah in June 2001 when failing health caused her to move near her son and daughter’s family. She resided there for the remaining days of her life.
