Evelyn Virginia Ogden Leaseburge, 100, of Clarksburg, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at United Hospital Center following an extended illness. She was born on January 17, 1911 in Northview the daughter of the late Claude Ogden and Laura Bessie Parrish Ogden. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene O. Leaseburge in 1995. They were married on September 8, 1928. Mrs. Leaseburge is survived by one son; Randy Allan Leaseburge of Clarksburg; two granddaughters; Carole Ann Leaseburge of Chester, SC and Sarah Beth Lee of Chester, SC; two grandsons; Brian Daniel Leaseburge of Salem and Aaron Zachary Leaseburge of Salem; two great grandsons; Jacob and Corey Lee of Chester, SC and her very good friends John and Linda Stickel and her caregiver Pam Viglianco. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister; Thelma Kay Hudson of Bradenton, FL; one son; Eugene Edwin “Bud” Leaseburge and one nephew; Rolin Eugene Hudson. Evelyn graduated from Victory High in 1928 and attended WV Business College, she then went on to work for the Department of Agriculture and worked as a dog groomer for 27 years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. At her request Mrs. Leaseburge will be cremated.
